French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
Ontario now has a program specifically tailored for French Speaking Immigrants who have strong English languages skills and want to live and work permanently in Ontario.
If you have qualified for Citizenship and immigration Canada’s (CIC) Express Entry pool, and you meet Ontario’s nomination criteria, Ontario may be able to nominate you for permanent residence through this stream.
Ontario is looking for individuals with the required education, skilled work experience and language ability that will help them successfully establish and integrate into our labor market and communities.
More specifically, to qualify under this program you must:
- Register successfully for Express Entry (and indicate your interest in immigrating to either Ontario or “all provinces and territories” when you register); and
- Qualify for either the Federal Skilled Worker program or the Canadian Experience Class.
Applicants must also have a minimum level of work experience, hold a Bachelor’s degree and meet a minimum French Language level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CBL) 7 or above in all language competencies AND an English language level of CLB 6 in all competencies. Applicants must also intend to reside in Ontario.
